28 - 13th - Chalupas

This is one of those Mexican cuisine sensations which has hit me recently. Recipe - baby tortillas (chapathi) fried and dipped in red & green salsa and served with threads of meat & finely chopped onions.

On a chilly evening in downtown Puebla, this is the best food you can get for a meager amount of 10 pesos. The steaming chalupas served on the side-walk in Puebla downtown on a windy evening, just melt into your mouth and can tempt you to eat 3 servings even with a full stomach.
