468 - 7th - Hot Dogs

American fast food has infiltrated the streets of Mexico to such an extent that you can see a hot dog place at practically every corner. Once the night falls and the darkness creeps in, these small mobile shops crop up like mushrooms in rain and prepare for a good night’s business. Being a vegetarian, I have never been a customer at one of these but the people who eat there seem to really enjoy the food.

This image is of one such hot dog outlet in Merida. The guy was selling hot steaming burgers and cold “refrescos” right in front of a busy street.
