343 - 23rd - The mountain cabins

Malinche is a dormant volcano in the state of Tlaxcala. It is accessible through a well built concrete road which goes half way up, upwards from where you have to walk on foot to tread the mountain. It takes around 4 odd hours to climb the mountain from the point onwards where the cars stop. The mountain has some beautiful cabins built a right in midway to the top. These cabins are available for rent and spending a weekend among this magnificent scenery is really an enriching experience.

We are thinking of staying in one of these cabins sometime in March or April. We will be in Tlaxcala for about 3 months.

It would be a great experience ... but keep in mind that they have cabins for a minimum of 10 people i think ... it is not that they wont rent to any lesser number of people, but for a couple it may be a bit too big.

The place and the experience will be mind blowing nevertheless ...

Thanks for the tip. We do have a professional guide at our disposal and I will follow up with him.
