Just another abstract image I clicked through my macro. On a dry fragment of dead food, were hanging these small webs almost invisible to the naked eye. I was actually following an ant on the wooden log when suddenly this web came into focus. Immediately I changed my own focus to this setting and let the ant go on it's way ;)

429 - 27th - A reflection of me

This shop in downtown Tlaxcala was selling mirrors and wooden frames. I didnt realize it was a mirror ship until I saw the reflection of my feet in a low hanging mirror. I just took some photos without any particular intention, but when I saw them in my system, they looked quite abstract; that being the reason I decided to post oen of them for today.

421 - 9th - Sitting on the edge

I weird bench at a weird place. We had taken a pit-stop on our way to Oaxaca at an open place besides the highway up in the mountains. While the others were smoking away they tiredness, I wandered around to look for some good shots. Some distance away from where we parked, I found this bench made of four pieces of stone, built right at the edge of the mountain.

The snarled mountains at the back with the clouds casting dark shadows gave a perfect background.

393 - 12th - Upside down

When I first saw this tree at the "Parque Madero" in Tutxtla, my first instinct was to zoom in and focus on the small "bushed" branches laterally to get one in focus and rest in the background. But that angle seemed to be quite an obvious one. So I decided to get underneath the tree and try to angle upwards.

The bright shining sun put a lot of extra brightness in the on the right side of the frame, but I am happy with the overall composition :)

388 - 7th - The dry leaf

I was walking towards a viewpoint for the canyon when on the way I saw this almost dry leaf lying on the one of the rocks on the way. The partial sunlight which was falling on it made it look all the more beautiful.

I stopped and took some photos, some in black and white mode too. But the one with colors was looking much better.

381 - 31st - The Yellow pattern

I don't know if you really recognized the first time you saw the picture, but to most of the people whom I showed this image, it was really unclear that what it really was. Before reading the next paragraph, just observe the image and try to figure out what it is. Ten points if you can do it correctly.

This image is from the airport of Tuxtla. We had rented a car and after finishing the documentation we were heading towards the car parking to pick up our vehicle. This pattern which you can see was actually the parking lot with individual slots demarcated by the yellow line.

378 - 28th - The divine duo

Sun and moon are perhaps the most important symbols in all the major civilizations in Latin America - the Mayas, Aztecs, and also Olmecs. All the temples, the palaces and major constructions have them in one form or the other. There are records of kings dedicating entire cities to the Sun god and huge palaces to the moon.

This picture is not from any of the archeological sites, but is a front door a small house in downtown Tlaxcala. Even my apartment's door has a golden yellow sun hanging on the side.
